WHAT IS A FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE CLINICAL NUTRITIONIST?

Our functional medicine clinical nutritionist holds a master’s degree and board certifications representing their depth in nutrition science and functional medicine. They deliver evidence-based functional care using laboratory and nutrition assessments plus a thorough health history to build a personalized protocol aimed at improving or reversing chronic disease and optimizing healthspan. When appropriate, they collaborate seamlessly with other medical providers for whole-patient care.

WHAT MAKES LNFM DIFFERENT FROM OTHER NUTRITION SERVICES OUT THERE?

We take a personalized, root-cause approach that combines functional lab testing with nutrition and lifestyle medicine. Unlike standard services focused mainly on meal plans or weight loss, LNFM provides in-depth assessments, advanced testing (gut, hormone, genetic, and nutrient panels), and ongoing support through a food-as-medicine philosophy. We specialize in complex concerns—such as gut imbalance, hormone issues, and perimenopause—offering longer sessions and continuous coaching to create sustainable, whole-body results.

WHAT IS FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE?

Functional medicine is a patient-centered, personalized approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of disease rather than masking symptoms. It integrates conventional medical science with an emphasis on how lifestyle, genetics, and environment interact to influence health and chronic disease.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN MY INITIAL CONSULTATION?

We take a highly individualized approach, gathering a thorough health history, reviewing past and current diagnostics, medications, and supplements, and clarifying your goals to craft a tailored plan. A new patient visit typically lasts 90 minutes and goes far beyond what is offered in conventional medicine.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

We do not bill insurance and are out-of-network with all carriers. This allows us to deliver truly personalized care—free from constraints that can limit time, testing, and treatment decisions. Like many functional and longevity practices, we’ve found traditional models often restrict the provider–patient relationship and can hinder outcomes. We believe care decisions should be made collaboratively between provider and patient, not dictated by insurance. HSA/FSA accounts are accepted.
